Paris International Agricultural Show 2022: the largest farm in France is back
Posted in Paris le
After a mixed year in 2020 and a cancellation in 2021, the expectation is high on the part of farmers and exhibitors as well as the public that we will regain the customary sense of interest and excitement that the Salon International de l’Agriculture (International Agricultural Show) usually generates. With animals to admire, local produce to taste, meetings with producers and professionals from different sectors, and more, the show offers something for everyone. Book your stay at the Hotel Auteuil Tour Eiffel today as well as your tickets for the show, which will be held from February 26th to March 6th!
Meet the show’s beautiful mascot
This year, the mascot of the Salon International de l’Agriculture is a superb Abondance cow named Neige (Snow). She will leave her pastures in the Grand-Bornand, where her milk is used to make reblochon and raclette, to come and meet the public in Paris. The show’s theme for 2022 is reunions: reunions between exhibitors and the public after two years disrupted by the pandemic, but also essential reunions between producers and consumers. Discussions and reflections will focus on the future of agriculture and the food on our plates as well as the protection of the environment.
The four sectors of the show
The Salon International de l’Agriculture is divided into four sectors: crops and plants plus gardening and vegetable gardens, agricultural services and professions, livestock and animal husbandry, and the undoubted favourite of gourmets, the sector dedicated to the agricultural produce of France, its overseas territories, and the rest of the world. Tasting of these typical products, symbols of savoir-faire and tradition, is of course one of the essential aspects of the show.
But why not also take advantage of your visit to discover lesser-known aspects of agriculture? Agri’Expo is devoted to bio-sourced products. Agriculture is an essential link in the circular economy and a viable alternative to materials derived from fossil resources. This exhibition proves that bio-sourced products are already part of our lives and that they constitute a real solution to current environmental challenges.
Making the most of the show
As in previous years, the Salon de l'Agriculture will be held at the Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles, about 30 minutes on foot from your Hotel Auteuil Tour Eiffel.
